The AICPA is holding an audio and slip infocast on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Eastern on What You Need to Know for 2011 FBARs:  Required stating of unfamiliar bank and financial accounts due by Jun 30, 2012.

The penalties for not complying with FBAR manners are stiff.  Make certain we and your employees or clients are in correspondence – some situations and forms of accounts are easy to miss!  Find out what we need to know in this webcast on calendar 2011 filings of Form TD F 90-22.1, Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR), that are due by Jun 30, 2012, including:

  • who contingency record a 2011 FBAR, including people and several entities;
  • when and how to file, including options on electronic filing;
  • common forms of unfamiliar accounts that need reporting;
  • easy to skip unfamiliar accounts that need reporting;
  • exceptions to reporting;
  • threshold to establish compulsory reporting;
  • which 2011 and before year FBARs are now extended; and,
  • the poignant intensity polite and rapist penalties compared with FBARs.

We’ll also plead many of a common concerns of taxpayers and practitioners such as:

  • am we seeking a right questions of my clients?;
  • do we unequivocally have to record an FBAR only since we have signature management over my employer’s or my parent’s unfamiliar account?;
  • update on stream options accessible if all compulsory before year FBARs have not been filed; and,
