Con-way Inc.Con-way Freight said it will raise its less-than-truckload rates 6.9%, effective July 9.

Con-way Freight, LTL and largest unit of Con-way Inc., said the increase on non-contractual shipments will apply to general LTL rates, and to special services within the U.S. and Canada.

The increase follows FedEx Freight’s 6.9% LTL increase, announced earlier this month.

Con-way Inc. is ranked No. 3 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
