USA Truck reported a first-quarter loss of $2.7 million, or 26 cents per share, compared with a loss of $3 million, or 24 cents, a year ago.
Revenue rose 11.7% to $99.7 million, improving at its trucking, logistics and strategic capacity solutions segments, the truckload carrier said in a statement.
The company cited higher fuel prices, bad weather, more government regulations and a tightening market for drivers as factors that adversely impact its results.
USA Truck is ranked No. 54 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
